Gary Waldhorn is a veteran English actor, known for his role as Councillor David Horton in the sitcom The Vicar of Dibley, but who has also had a notable television and theatre career.
He made his film debut in Zeppelin (1971) but made a more noteable appearance on television as Caulaincourt in the 1974 serial Napoleon And Love. After Space:1999, Waldhorn made guest appearances in The Sweeney, The New Avengers, Return Of The Saint, Edward & Mrs. Simpson, and Robin Of Sherwood. He was also seen in the feature films The Great Riviera Bank Robbery (1979), Hanover Street (1979), Sir Henry At Rawlinson End (1979), Escape To Victory (1981) and The Chain (1985). More recently, he has been seen in regular roles in Brush Strokes and All At Number 20, and starred as Ralph Apsoland in the 1992 BBC adaptation of Ruth Rendell's Gallowglass.
