Mentor was one of the last inhabitants of the planet Psychon.
A scientist by profession, Mentor planed to use humanoid brain wave energy to power his supercomputer Psyche, as part of his plan to transform to volcanic world Psychon had become into a copy of the lush world it used to be.
When John Koenig of Moonbase Alpha was forced to stop Mentor by destroying Psyche, the older man declined to be rescued, choosing to remain on the planet to share it's destruction.
Mentor was survived by his daughter Maya[2] who, following the loss of her homeworld, joined Moonbase as Chief Science Officer, effectively succeding the absent Victor Bergman in the role.[3]
